Born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia, I moved to the U.S. two years ago. I have always enjoyed baking and decorating cakes and desserts. As a young girl, I was always helping my mother prepare for family gatherings and holidays. Year after year I would watch and learn the meticulous preparations my mother would go through to ensure everything was just perfect. As I grew older I was tasked with preparing my own creations and loved every minute of it. Finding and creating from-scratch recipes filled me with excitement and I was always looking for new to things to challenge me.

After arriving in the U.S., I was unsure of what I would be able to do for work. Trying to adapt to a new country and culture, I took to baking and sharing my sweet creations with my family and close friends. It was at my daughter's 9th birthday party where many of our guests started filling my head with trying to start a bakery. My first reaction was "How could I manage such a thing?!?" But after a few other birthdays and anniversaries where people were asking for cakes, I decided it was time to do this. And now it is my pleasure to share with you Sweet Designs by Armina!
